The Bob Marley Museum

The Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, Jamaica, WI is a tourist attraction full of information and antiques from the life and music of Bob Marley. From 1975 to 1981 the artist used the home as a site of business and recording, and it was converted to a Museum six years after his death by his wife Rita Marley. Music permeates the premises and attractions on the site, and it is a great place to visit while on the island! For more information click here.

Witness Uganda: A.R.T. Season

Rarely do you feel a spark of inspiration just by the chords struck on the piano in a musical, even before the poignant dialogue and singing compels you to action. “Witness Uganda” is that rare and powerful gem I was lucky enough to witness last year this time. This year, the play that has won the 2012 Richard Rogers Award for Musical Theater and 2013 Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Award will be on the stage at the American Repertory Theater from February 4 – March 16, 2014.  It is a must-see, a travel see, and an experience do!

You will leave encouraged, connected, motivated and moved to action by “Witness Uganda” through the music, dialogue and most importantly the lived experience which inspired the story.

Clips below from A.R.T. preview:

FM Supreme: “Momma Loves Me”

FM Supreme continues to evolve as an artist whose connections to community, social justice and her faith make her one of the most brilliant MCs in the game. On my one year blogoversary on WordPress I am excited to share FM Supreme’s new music video “Momma Loves Me”. Her new video accompanies a powerful song full of wisdom, truth and dope rhymes.

Favorite words of wisdom from “Momma Loves Me”:

A queen on microphone/A female king get it straightened like a hot comb
