Ellipsis: Pulitzer Arts Foundation
During my visit to St. Louis I had to visit the Pulitzer Arts Foundation!
Ellipsis (April 15 – July 2, 2016) was currently on view, and it was such an immersive experience! All of my senses were stimulated through taste, touch, look and listen. On view was one of my favorite artists of all time: Felix Gonzalez-Torres. His work stimulated my senses as the roomed glowed gold, and it is a special treat to be able to take a piece of candy to eat, which also keeps the work alive.
Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Castries, St. Lucia
At the end of July I had the pleasure of viewing the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Castries, St. Lucia. It was given the honorary status of a Minor Basilica on 11 May 1999 as part of the centenary celebrations. Besides the stunning architecture, the interior design stunned and enthralled me! The interior is decorated by St. Lucian artist and National Cultural hero, Dunstan St. Omer (more information on him can be found here).
