On Friday, May 13th I got to attend The Period Shop on Fifth Avenue. It was so amazing I did not want to leave! There was free ice cream, manis, a photo booth, product giveaways and merchandise for sale from women-owned businesses doing amazing things in the world. The shop was comforting and exciting!

This led to a connection with U by Kotex who are doing The Period Projects. According to U by Kotex: Women have a lot of ideas about how to make things better when it comes to periods. All proceeds from The Period Shop went to Susan’s Place, a local transitional residence dedicated to serving homeless women: www.careforthehomeless.org.
