New York City Ballet and FAILE: An Art Series Collaboration

With extreme excitement I post on the NYCB (New York City Ballet) and FAILE Art Series collaboration which is in its inaugural year. Art Series commissions work by contemporary artists inspired by the New York City Ballet. FAILE’s installation, Les Ballets De Faile, is presented in two segments in 2013. The first was called the Tower of FAILE on the Promenade for the performances on Friday, February 1 while the second FAILE Wheels will be on display at the Wednesday, May 29 performance. On those days every seat in the house was available for $29 with each audience member being able to take home a limited edition piece of artwork made specifically for the event.

(Seats sold out within minutes when opened to the public on January 8th, and I was blessed to get a ticket for the May performance later that day. Photos and a keek video of the installation will be available on the Art Edge NYC page on Facebook Thursday,  May 30th!)
