On June 21-24 I have the honor of presenting at the ROOTS Fest 2011 with my cohort of young activists under 30. We will be presenting our understanding about this present moment in activism through our varied cultural experiences and cross-sector activism in areas such as technology to provide avenues of social justice. Through our collective story we will then generate an analysis which we will set to a particular action like storytelling. There is a fun festival from June 25-26 which everyone should try to attend, with performers such as Talib Kweli! The conference involves creative forms of expression and the ability to interact with those who understand how art does change lives and communities!
